About the event
The Monarch Sanctuary Project is excited to be a part of the Roots & Wings Festival on October 30th for our Celebration Migration: A Magical Morning for Monarchs!
We are teaming up again with Families in Nature for our Texas state insect, the Monarch butterfly. Help us champion their magnificent migration as they make their way down to Mexico for the winter. They often arrive to their destination by the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos). Monarch butterflies are tied into journey, transformation, and freedom. We'll be setting up an ofrenda to honor a beautiful cultural tradition and our loved ones who have passed.
